‘You can’t learn if you are afraid to fail. To really learn something, we have to embrace the normalcy of falling down and picking yourself back up.’

How do we cope when we fail? What can we learn from it? How can we accept and find opportunities in failure?

For actors, learning to adapt and be flexible is essential in order to navigate the turbulent waters of the industry; from coping with audition rejection to coping with the uncertain periods of time spent between work. Taking risks, accepting and learning from failure is a fundamental part of the creative process.

Our ACTivate Resilience workshops look at various strategies to hone personal resilience through a series of exercises that explore positive mindset, problem solving and lateral thinking. The aim is to re-align our attitude to failure and learn to see it as an opportunity for growth and development.
