Staff Testimonials
“Observing the day, I was impressed at how the facilitators encouraged the children by challenging their views, pushing them outside their comfort zones and inviting them to explore and feed back on their own performances and those of their peers. All the children enjoyed the workshop and learnt new skills which we will be able to develop for our future shows. A huge thank you to Alex and Phoebe for their energy and enthusiasm which rubbed off on the children. A brilliant day had by all - definitely recommended.”

I highly recommend ACTivate Workshops to any school or performance group. They have worked with a range of our students on several different occasions, both in person and over Zoom. On each occasion, we worked with Alex who was supportive, adaptable and offered totally bespoke help, reading the room to make students feel engaged, challenged and supported. He has run small group workshops to support GCSE and A Level devising pieces, tailored to those pieces and providing detailed professional feedback, as well as providing high-energy and engaging topic introductions for classes. ACTivate's musical theatre workshop and co-curricular sessions were also hugely popular with our students, all of which resulted in great fun and a high standard of performance.

“We enjoyed the Finding Your Voice workshop so much that we will certainly book more in the future! It was very helpful to have a pre-course questionnaire to identify exactly what the objectives of the day were. The workshop was tailored to the size of our groups and to what we were looking to get out of the day. The objective of all activities was explained to the students to keep them focused and the activities were fun, age-appropriate and helped to demonstrate techniques. The students very much enjoyed the workshop and were able to put their newly learnt skills to practice at our Open Day recently.”
