Join Captain Courageous on a mission like no other…a journey into the forest of failure! This is a place where failure lies around every corner, and where it will take ingenuity, teamwork and great leadership to make it through.
Pack your rucksack of resilience and bring your cloak of confidence as we navigate the undergrowth of uncertainty, wade through the wastelands of worry and try to defeat the dragon of doubt.
In this workshop we introduce students to the idea that confidence is built on acts of everyday courage. Alongside this we also look at how these acts of courage will also mean inevitable moments of failure. We challenge notions of perfectionism and show how moments of failure are essential as opportunities to learn and grow.
Your school has been randomly selected to be sent in a spaceship to meet with the aliens so that they can ask you some questions and learn more about what it is like to be a young person on earth.
This fun workshop is designed to take the fear out of practising for an interview and speaking in public. As students prepare for their ‘intergalactic interview’, they will learn to use their breath, body and voice to articulate themselves with confidence. Exploring body language, strategies to cope with nerves and how to connect with an audience, this workshop looks at the fundamentals of communication, whilst encouraging students to explore their own unique identity.
