CREATING CHARACTER, IMPROVISING & DEVISING
How does it feel to step into the shoes of another person?
In this workshop, we explore the fundamental building blocks of creating characters, including physicality, pace and voice as well as the golden rule of improvising, ‘yes and’. Students are given permission to let their imaginations run wild and discover what happens when you let the seed of an idea grow into something (or someone) fully formed and fabulous! With plenty of encouragement and inhibition shedding games, this workshop encourages students to trust in their creative instincts, boosting confidence and nurturing curiosity.
Classes will have the opportunity to present and celebrate their work with each other, culminating in an optional performance. These sessions are tailored to each year group and can be focussed on a particular theme of your choice.
