INTERVIEW SKILLS & IDENTITY

Intergalactic Interview!

Somewhere from deep in outer space, a signal has been picked up. The Prime Minister has been alerted and all of Earth’s top scientists have been assembled. After many days of trying to understand the signal, it finally becomes clear - this has come from an alien civilisation. These creatures from outer space want to speak to us and learn all about who we are and how we live our lives. However they have been watching us for some time and they don’t want to hear from a grown up. They want to speak to a child: someone who represents the future.

Your school has been randomly selected to be sent in a spaceship to meet with the aliens so that they can ask you some questions and learn more about what it is like to be a young person on earth.

This fun workshop is designed to take the fear out of practising for an interview and speaking in public. As students prepare for their ‘intergalactic interview’, they will learn to use their breath, body and voice to articulate themselves with confidence. Exploring body language, strategies to cope with nerves and how to connect with an audience, this workshop looks at the fundamentals of communication, whilst encouraging students to explore their own unique identity.
